Pain Control – Chronic & Acute
When we feel pain, we assume it comes from damaged tissue and is transmitted to the brain by our peripheral nerves. In the 1920s, scientists in Germany found that sometimes the peripheral nerves, or the many substations, called ganglia, could malfunction and send pain messages to the brain without any injury being present. They called these ‘interference fields’. *
Recognizing the cause of these symptoms, the scientists developed a specific treatment called “Neural Therapy” to correct the malfunctioning nerve impulses. This is explained in greater detail below.
In ancient China, a form of treatment- Acupuncture - was developed to treat various conditions. It has proven its value even today. In many ways, acupuncture and neural therapy overlap in both concept and technique. This office combines the expertise in both to provide treatment for painful conditions, not otherwise responding to drugs or similar temporary measures.
Neural Therapy is, therefore, the effective and alternative treatment to the long-term use of pain medication.
