Detox & Chelation
Chelation
Our environment is filled with all types of chemicals and synthetic stuff. Although not labeled poison, they can never accumulate in our bodies and disturb and alter our immune and other regulatory systems. This explains in part the increase in various inflammatory conditions and illnesses, including arthritis, colitis, dermatitis, lupus, allergies, asthma, and more that now affect many people.
Autoimmune Diseases
Rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, Crohn’s disease, asthma, various forms of dermatitis, and yes, even diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, and arteriosclerotic heart disease have all been scientifically linked to faulty and defective immune systems.
Today, these conditions, and many others, are linked to a faulty and defective immune system under the heading of autoimmune disease (allergic to one’s own tissues). The drug industry response is powerful drugs to suppress our immune systems, the price is weakened immunity to all types of infections.
A better program would be the removal of the toxins, allowing our bodies to return to a state of normal and robust health. It is called detoxification or detox; it has many forms. See Detox & Chelation below.
Detox & Chelation
Our bodies' “detox” systems are there to eliminate normal metabolic waste through the kidneys and bowels. Chelation * was developed after World War II to specifically treat lead toxicity. It is still the most effective and safest treatment, but has been improved and expanded to include many other Toxins- such as Mercury, Arsenic, Tin, and others, which are often beyond our body’s normal detox methods.
To be effective, the chelating agent must;
A. Get into the bloodstream in adequate amounts
B. Extract and bind the toxic metals from stored tissues
C. Rapidly excreted from the body by the kidneys.
D. It cannot be organic so as to be used by the body for food or energy.
This is accomplished by a specific molecule called Ethylenediamine Tetraacetic Acid (EDTA) which is administered intravenously. EDTA pulls out and binds toxic materials which are then rapidly excreted through urine.
Effective metal chelation must be done intravenously in a medical facility.
When properly supervised, potential problems such as loss of minerals or renal toxicity do not occur. Our office has over 20 years of experience in safe and effective detox and chelation treatment. Please see the attached video and notes for more detailed information.
